Tursos, derived from the Greek word Thyrsus, represents the scepter of Dionysus: this staff of command, wrapped in ivy or vine leaves, is crowned by a pinecone full of seeds symbolizing fertility, abundance and masculine life force intertwined with feminine plant energy.
In Greco-Roman mythology, Pardus is the leopard that pulls Dionysus's chariot and whose skin the god of wine wears. It represents vigor and fertility. The leopard, besides being a metaphor for the dynamism we want to bring to our venture, represents the strength, power and solar energy of our high-end Malbec, without forgetting the feline softness of its tannins.
HEDERA (Latin word) is the ivy that crowns the head of Dionysus, the god of wine. Thanks to its vigor, this plant represents the feminine life force; its evergreen leaves, along with its ability to bear fruit in winter, make it a symbol of immortality. Since antiquity it has been credited with hidden powers, such as warding off the effects of alcohol. Because of its link to Dionysus, taverns and wine shops used to hang ivy branches over their doors.
